13 november: mini opfris-workshop djembe notatie

Vorig jaar heb ik de uitgebreide workshop muzieknotatie gegeven, inclusief een hoop interessante wetenswaardigheden over notatie, voorbeelden van diverse muzieknotatiesystemen en heel veel oefeningen. Die workshop zal ik zeker nog wel eens geven!

Maar omdat muzieknotatie gewoon heel erg handig is, wil ik tussendoor een keertje een mini / opfris - workshop geven van 1 uur, namelijk op

Vrijdag 13 november van 19:00 - 20:00

Dus dat is voorafgaand aan de middengroep-les van Ousmane.
Dit is een gratis workshop, met name voor de leerlingen van Ousmane.
Het heet "opfrisworkshop" maar als je de vorige notatieworkshop hebt gemist mag je ook komen, no problem.
Als je als gevorderde leerling mee wilt doen zul je wel van 20:00 - 21:30 even pauze moeten houden in de bar. Voor een of twee mensen is er ook ruimte om met de beginners mee te doen natuurlijk.

In deze mini-workshop leg ik het systeem van muzieknotatie nog een keer uit, maar ik beperk het wel tot alleen dat wat voor djembe en doundoun noodzakelijk is. En we zullen een paar oefeningen doen om notatie zelf op te schrijven, en om notatie van blad te leren spelen.

Zoals gezegd is dit een gratis workshop, maar er is maar beperkt plek dus als je mee wilt doen, geef je dan even op! Leerlingen van Ousmane krijgen voorrang. Neem je djembe uiteraard mee, en papier (bloknote of wat losse velletjes) en pen.

Teach Yourself Djembe!

The djembe is an african goblet-shaped hand drum. It is played in an ensemble with doundouns (bass drums) and bells, and this percussion music is interwoven with dance, work, magic, religion, folklore and festivals.

Although I have an interest and respect for the cultural aspects, the religion and the magic, I approach the djembe mainly as a musical instrument. I try to develop teaching material for it. On this site you will find an emphasis on music, notation, exercises and rhythms, on playing tips, on how to buy an instrument and take care of it, tune it and so forth.
